Internal issues of the Trinamool party came out in the open when people saw a TMC youth president beaten and thrashed by a TMC councilor on the streets of Kolkata. Sunanda Sarkar, the councilor of Ward No. 18 was caught on camera slapping the TMC youth president of the same ward Kedar Das.
Wearing a saree, Sunanda was seen rushing towards Kedar, holding his collar and slapping him. As per reports, Kedar accused Sunanda of extortion which angered the Councilor. The incident took place reportedly in the Shyampukur area.
It is being said that Kedar is close to Minister Shashi Panja and has been in Trinamool for a long time. He was given the responsibilities of the 21st July Shaheed Diwas meeting. Sources said that Sunanda and Kedar had disputes for a long time.
